Mary Irene was a long time member of DIA who, due to health issues, had been unable to attend any recent Gatherings. However, until her health failed, she was a dedicated and very active member. Her artistic gifts were multiple. She was a potter, photographer, painter, stained glass artist and her hand painted wall hangings and banners were magnificent. In addition, Mary Irene served on the Planning Commissions for the first two Gatherings held in Adrian and, along with Rosaire McAuliffe OP, presented multiple Workshops at our earlier Gatherings. In addition, she was a wonderful preacher.
